Transportation
2023 – 2024 Transportation
MONDAY – FRIDAY
Transportation runs daily at 6:45 AM and 3:30 PM
On Fridays Transportation runs at 6:45 AM and at 10:30 AM
Intensives (Dec & May): Vans run on schedule and Fridays at 6:45 AM, 10:30 AM & 3:30 PM
Please note that the times given are DEPARTURE times –
Students should arrive at least five to ten minutes early.
Drivers may run late from time to time – weather or traffic sometimes cause delays, but departure times will not change without notice.
Should the bus run late: We ask that you ask your student to wait 10-15 minutes or so after the scheduled departure time, before returning home. Traffic, weather and other issues sometimes come up that could cause a delay. Students are welcome to call the office and check the status of their driver before they return home.
We encourage students to put the school office number into their contact lists on their phones.
Drivers are not permitted to circle back for students who may choose to leave campus or are not present at the time of scheduled departure. Students who leave campus “after School” will not be permitted to ride the vans for that day.
Seating: Reminder that seating is LIMITED please do not allow your student to just grab a bus to a different location, this could cause a REGULAR rider to not have a seat.
We ask this as a courtesy to all the families needing transportation.
Please contact the business office if you will be needing transportation or if you have any questions. Students may be assigned seats as needed – should we notice damage to our vehicles students will be dismissed from riding. No exceptions.
Students may also be asked to pay for any damage(s) to seats or interior/exterior of the van. Drivers will be watching and observing students daily as well as checking their vehicles for any damages or items left behind.
All routes are subject to changes as needed, should the stop not be needed full time each week, this stop may be removed.
Students will be reminded:
- Buckle up – it’s the law!
- Grab a seat and stay put until you have reached your destination.
- No food or drinks (or gum) allowed in the van other than water. No exceptions.
- No use of foul language, yelling or disrespect to peers or their driver.
- Any student that has left campus (while waiting for the van) will not be permitted to ride.
- No PDA on the vans. (Displayed affections, touching and/or rough play).
Students will be offered (as needed):
- Request to correct behavior.
- Verbal warning – Notice to the transportation office and emailed or call to the parent(s).
- Written warning and dismissal for 3-5 days from the van. (Parent will be called)
Should the student return to riding the van – any additional warning (for anything related or unrelated to the first warning) and the student will be removed from the van for the remainder of the school year.
No Exceptions:
No tobacco, vapor, e-cigs, alcohol or drugs are permitted on the vans.
A student will be removed without warning and will not be permitted to ride for the remainder of the school year.
Thank you – Please contact Sharon Felker or Melissa Wagoner should you have any questions.
